Disney on Ice: Let’s Celebrate

I had the pleasure of escorting three lovely little princesses to the opening night performance of Disney on Ice: Let’s Celebrate and once again, Disney really delivers.

The show started off with a warm welcome, Be Our Guest by Lumiere, and featured a wide cast of characters from Cinderella, Alladin, The Little Mermaid, Snow White, Alice and Wonderland and many more.  Of course, the usual hosts of the show, Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy were on hand to lead us on our night full of flawless skating and entertaining adventures celebrating each of the special days.

If you fancy the evil villains in any of the Disney movies, you won’t be disappointed with the next act featuring some of the most famous “bad guys”.  Shouts of “I love you Pumpkin King” and “Cruella is awesome” could be heard throughout the arena following the entrance of each of the famous villains.

Next up is a lesson is love for Minnie who gets a visit from her own fairy godmother.  And who better to help Minnie on her quest to find true love than the most beloved princesses of all time; Jasmin, Ariel, Belle, Cinderalla, Tiana and Snow White.

Lilo and Stitch are H-O-T as the ice is lit on fire and hula dancers glide effortlessly over the ice while Goofy surfs his way into the audience.

Wizard Mickey works his magic with his brooms to clean up the ice and invites you to join him on exotic adventures to Hawaii, Brazil, Japan, China and back to New Orleans as he tries to figure out how to use his magical travelling machine.

The show wouldn’t be complete without celebrating Christmas and having a special visit from the jolly old fellow himself, Santa Goofy!

Judging from the smiles and trance-like eyes of my little princesses throughout the entire 2 hours, it is safe to say this show is nothing short of spectacular. The entire show features some jaw dropping moves by the talented ice skaters and incredible special effects for all to enjoy.

It was hard to pick my favorite part of the show, but with tickets starting at just $18 and seats still available for most shows, you still have time to go and pick your own favorite.
